Okay guys, let’s get nerdy for a moment. I, Maddie Vinton, am obsessed with pens and paper. I developed this obsession ever since I was little. I couldn’t wait for school supply shopping every year, and yes, that included college. It was weird not having to shop for pens and notebooks this year without a reason, but hey, that didn’t stop me from browsing anyway! But yea, I love being organized and I’m very high maintenance in the products that I use. I already warned you, this is getting nerdy. So because I love pens and paper, when the new year comes around, it’s time to shop for a new planner. I am very picky about what planner I get. I’m the type of person that will spend 10 minutes in the planner section looking for the right one for me.
My favorite place to shop for new planners is TJ Maxx because they aren’t very expensive and they also carry my favorite brand for planners and notebooks. The name of the brand is called Clementine Paper Inc., and I’ve been using their planners every year for years! I love their products, plus they are made out of recycled paper which I think is pretty cool. For some reason I can never find their products online, but their notebooks are sold at Target and the planners are at TJ Maxx.
I love this planner because the pages are simple and not over the top. The designs on the outside are not my absolute favorite in the world because I’m not a froufrou type of gal, but it’s the inside that keeps me buying this planner from year to year. With that being said, the pages and lines are great for my smaller handwriting and I can easily stay on top of things with it! I do a color coding system that I find to be helpful for scheduling, and it really helped me out throughout high school and college! Let’s showcase my over the top organizing system:
- Green Pen- Activities going on during the week
- Purple Pen- Workouts
- Orange Pen- Used to be for my homework and quizzes during school, but now for things I have to do for my blog
- Red Pen- Used to be for exams during school, but now for my blog posts
- Blue Pen-Appointments
I know, I know. This was a very serious post that I can’t believe I brought myself to post about. Planners? What a conundrum! All jokes aside, I thought it would be fun to post about what I use to stay on top of things from week to week.
