Oh. My. Goodness. This particular post definitely had the possibility of not being posted today. To be honest, I just didn’t think it was going to happen. I thought I was going to have to push back this haul because the products were never going to get here!! They got here right in the knick of time, but man, what a journey!
Let’s get into the backstory of this haul before I dive into the products themselves. Ok, so Tropeaka is a company based in Australia, and I’ve been wanting to try their products for FOREVER because Sarah’s Day, one of my favorite YouTuber’s, has used them constantly for years, and they just seem like a great brand with quality, healthy products. They have a range of products from protein to BCAA’s and superfoods. Basically any powder you want for your wellbeing, they have. Even though I’ve been wanting to try them for years, I couldn’t justify the price and shipping costs. I couldn’t justify it until, you know, my favorite way of paying for online orders was available. Afterpay. Afterpay makes all my dreams come true!
So, Easter was April 12th, and that was the day that I decided to make my first purchase from Tropeaka. I’ll get into the reasons why when I show the products, but I ordered this stuff April 12th. April 12th. It shipped on April 14th, which I thought was a good sign that it would get here somewhat soon. Boy was I wrong!!!
It got here today as I’m writing this post, May 22nd. And don’t get me wrong, I know that shipping is crazy right now in this pandemic. I totally get it and understand that, I just didn’t think that it would be delayed this long when their website said that it would take 14-19 business days to get here. I had emailed them Friday, May 8th, and got a response that Monday the 11th, and the girl was super nice explaining the shipping delays and gave me new tracking information on it. It just sucked because it was the 19th business day that day and it was nowhere near me!! I don’t know if shipping food products is different or what, but I just couldn’t believe how long it took to get here, especially when a jacket I had ordered from a boutique in Australia took 4 days to get to me!
At the beginning of the month, I thought that when I had planned on writing this post I would’ve had the products by then, not 3 days prior to when I was going to share this haul! It’s just crazy to me that I basically paid this item off on Afterpay before I even got the products! If you didn’t know, you can make payments every two weeks, and my last payment as I’m writing this is this Sunday, although when I’m posting this it would’ve been yesterday!
I definitely don’t mean to complain about this, I just was so excited to try their products and I felt like they were never going to get here! I can’t imagine how crazy shipping is right now, especially when you are buying internationally. I have to say though, even though I hated the wait and the delays, all of those feelings just went away as soon as I opened my package today. I’m so happy they are finally here! I looked at my Mom and said that I’ve been wanting to try these products for the longest time, and now I finally can! So now that they are officially here, let’s get into what I ordered!
Body Bloom
So Sarah’s Day came out with this product about a year ago or so, and ever since she came out with it I’ve been wanting to try it. Like I said before, I couldn’t justify the price and spending that much money on a powder just yet, but I knew it was something that I wanted to try eventually. So this past year, I’ve been reevaluating the things that I’ve been putting into my body, like gluten and dairy, because my digestion just didn’t seem to be that great anymore and I would bloat if I ate too much of those foods. This product just seemed to be a solution that would help my digestion, and I’ve never seen a product like this one in the States (I do want to just disclaim that I am trying to go gluten and dairy-free to help my body feel better, but there’s still those days when I’m bloated regardless). So Easter weekend came around, and of course I ate too much and my stomach felt like a balloon that night. I decided right then and there that I couldn’t take this anymore. I hated that feeling and I needed to start doing something different and change my eating habits and focus on what I could do to get my digestion back on track and have good gut health. So I went that night and purchased Sarah’s Day Body Bloom. It has great reviews online and it has pre and probiotics that help with gut health and digestion, and it also is supposed to be really good for your hair and skin because it supports collagen production. It’s a true inner and outer beauty health powder! I’m super excited to try this product out and see if it helps with my digestion like it has with so many others!
Matcha Tea Powder
The other thing that I got from Tropeaka was their matcha tea. And I know that this could have been something that I bought on Amazon or anywhere else, but I just wanted to try something else from Tropeaka. I’ve been wanting to make my own matcha iced lattes for the longest time now and with the weather getting warmer it just seemed like the perfect time to go ahead and get some! Matcha has a lot of health benefits, including it being an antioxidant and being good for your immune system and metabolism! The first thing I did when this package came in the mail was make my first matcha iced latte, and once I’ve perfected it I’ll share the recipe soon, but just know it was everything I was hoping for and then some because it was so good 🙂
And those are the products I got from this haul! Like I said, the shipping delays were a pain, but all of those thoughts of it never getting here just dissipated as soon as I opened the package. I’m so excited and happy with this purchase! Even though there are shipping delays right now, I’ve been really interested in trying out their BCAA’s recently, and they have this raspberry flavor that I really want to try. I know this is another thing that I could just find here in the States, but like I said, Tropeaka just seems like an amazing brand that uses quality ingredients, and even though this is my first purchase from them, I’ve trusted them for years, and it was just the costs that were holding me back! But anyways, the BCAA’s may take a while to get here again, but I don’t know, it just seems worth it. I wish I had the money to just go out and buy all of their products, but I think these will do just fine for now!
