Tea Time

Tea Time

Every time someone asked the question, “Coffee or Tea?” my answer was always coffee. I’ve been a coffee drinker for as long as I can remember. While people may say it stunts growth, I’m 5’11…so, there’s that! But anyways, before I go down a rabbit hole, coffee has always been my biggest devotion, my daily necessity. While it still is, tea has entered the rotation, especially at night, and especially during the winter.

I’m not going to lie, it took a few tries for me to get used to the taste. I started drinking tea for the health benefits, not so much the flavor. But add a little honey to the right tea, and it’s delicious to me now! I’ve been drinking tea for the last couple of years now, and I think I’ve found my essentials that I wanted to share with you today!

Honey Chai Turmeric Vitality Tea

Turmeric is a great anti-inflammatory for you, and I’ve always tried to enter it into my diet, but it’s a hard spice to add to things. I can’t even describe the flavor, but if you add too much, it’s overpowering and not the most pleasant taste in the world. I started exploring different teas a couple of months ago and found this, and it’s become a staple for me. Although there’s already honey in it, I add a little bit more to sweeten in up, and it’s delicious.

Ginger Tea

I love ginger. It’s an amazing spice used in cooking that offers a little bit of punch that I absolutely love. Of all the teas I’m mentioning today, just know that this is by far my favorite! Ginger is one ingredient that is so good for you, and I love the flavor, which is a double win in my book. It’s great for digestion and a great anti-inflammatory, just like turmeric!

Blackberry Apple Cider Tea

While I love the taste of ginger tea the most out of this list, I will say I love the smell of this tea. The blackberry is a dominant scent when you let the tea steep, and once it’s ready to go it’s the best smell ever. This is yet another tea that’s supposed to be great for digestion as well!

Detox Tea

When I was new in my tea drinking days, this was the first tea that I ever bought. I’m trying to be healthy, and detoxing just sounded like the right fit. So I made it, and I thought it was disgusting! It tasted horrible on it’s own, and I never really touched that box of tea for a long time after that. But then I discovered the simplicity of sweetening the tea with honey, and it was a game changer. What I once thought was horrible, was actually pretty good once you knew what to add to it. This tea has numerous ingredients, such as my beloved ginger and black pepper, making it one of my long time favorites.

Peppermint Delight Probiotic Tea

I know that all the teas I included so far were from Yogi, this last tea I’m going to mention is from Traditional Medicinals. I’m trying to increase the amount of probiotics in my diet because #healthygut, and I love that this tea includes it. Peppermint is an amazing ingredient for digestion and if you are ever having an upset stomach, plus it smells amazing because of the peppermint. It’s a delicious tea that’s I can’t get enough of!

And those are all my tea staples in my pantry! I love the health benefits of tea, and I try to drink it more often, especially during these cold winter months. I was really congested a couple of weeks ago, and instead of having the same kind every night, it was great being able to switch it up. It felt like the different ingredients were helping my throat and myself feel better. I’ve tried other flavors of tea, but these are the ones that I’m going to be sticking to for a while. I’d say that these five essentially cover it all, so there’s no need to explore for anymore right now! Happy Monday everyone, I hope this post encouraged you to try some tea!
