Summer 2020 Beauty Haul

Summer 2020 Beauty Haul

I don’t know how or why, but somehow all of my beauty and makeup products have seemed to run out around the same time. That, and maybe the products I’ve been using have expired for some time now and I’m just now getting around to replacing them. Anyways, regardless, it was about time that I go and purchase some more skincare and beauty products, and today I thought I’d share what all I ended up buying!

L’Oréal Infallible Foundation

This is L’Oréal’s 24-hour foundation, and along with some beauty gurus I follow, as well as the reviews on Ulta’s website, it seemed like a foundation I should try out! Does anybody else get super hesitant about choosing a foundation color online? I ended up getting this in the shade True Beige, and fingers crossed it works out ok!!! This foundation does have SPF 25 which is a total plus because you gotta protect your face and get that sunscreen protection!

Wet N’ Wild Photo Focus Foundation

I’ve used this foundation for some time now and I’ve been needing to repurchase because I’ve been scraping any remainder I have left out of the bottle! This is another one that has great reviews and it’s only like $5. I not only love the foundation because of the coverage, but because of the great price too! I got this in the shade Soft Ivory, and it has definitely become one of my staple foundations.

BH Cosmetics Blush Palette

So, I got the Jaclyn Hill blush and highlighter palette she came out with way back in 2016, and I hate to say it, but I’ve been using it for 4 years. It’s way past expired, but I just love the Amaretto blush shade in that palette and I never want to let it go. Also, I keep waiting and waiting to hit pan in that palette because I use that shade so much and it hasn’t even happened yet, which is crazy! It’s a warmer peachy shade and I feel like it’s the only blush that I’ve used that doesn’t make me look like a clown. I know it’s time that I should probably let that palette go, so I went with this Vanilla Cream Truffle palette from BH Cosmetics. The shades are warmer tones like that Amaretto shade, and hopefully one of them will end up being a match!

CoverGirl Mascara

This is a mascara that I have used for years and years, and I really don’t know if I can bring myself to try any another mascara. I love this mascara because the wand has small bristles that won’t let your lashes get stuck together and look clumpy, hence the Clump Crusher name!

Honest Beauty Lip Balm

I love my Burt’s Bees tinted moisturizer lip balm, but I thought I would pick this one up from Honest Beauty to try. It’s in the shade Fruit Punch, and it gives my lips a slight tint of color, but not too much, which I really like! It is not as moisturizing as my Burt’s Bees, but it isn’t completely lacking in that department!

Catrice Primer

This is another product that I needed to repurchase. I’ve used this primer for the past year, and have really enjoyed it! This is their Keep Me Matt primer, which is perfect for my combination to oily skin. I was tempted to try a different primer, but I know that this one works and I didn’t want to spend the money on a $30 primer when this $7.99 one works just fine!

Garnier Micellar Water

I’ve mentioned this Micellar Water a couple of times on here, and I love it for removing my makeup! I ended up grabbing the super sized one, and it was on sale for $8.99, which was a total win! Instead of cotton pads I use my reusable makeup remover cloth, and I find that this combination works really well together to remove all my makeup at the end of the day.

Clarins Toner

I was tempted to repurchase my Tula Ph Balance toner that I’ve been using, but I decided to go out and try something new this time. This Clarins camomile toner has great reviews online and I’m really excited to try it! I’m a little nervous that it is for normal to dry skin, but it is alcohol-free so hopefully it will work out ok.

Origins Moisturizer

For my last beauty product, I picked up a new moisturizer. It’s an Origins gel moisturizer, which I like because gel is better for my skin type. Like I said, I have combination to oily skin, and with these hot summer months I’d really appreciate it if my face didn’t melt off!!

And those are all the beauty products I picked up recently! I’m really excited to try out some of these new products, and maybe I’ll do a favorites post sometime soon to update on how I’ve found them to perform. Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a great one!
