I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I. Love. Movies. Earlier throughout quarantine I made a quarantine movie watch list, and although I haven’t watched everything on that list, I did watch a decent amount! However, I didn’t realize until last week when watching The Rookie how much I missed sports. It was easy for sports to be out of sight, out of mind because I was finding other things to do, but nowadays, I really want to watch sports. We’ve been watching the show The Last Dance, and I miss watching sports on TV so much. In case you were wondering and need a new show to watch, the show is absolutely amazing and I wish I was alive during the ‘90’s basketball era! So anyways, today, I thought I’d compose a list of some of my favorite sports movies to get through this time, until sports can be played again. And, I’ve also decided to break it into sports categories because I didn’t realize how extensive this list was going to be!!!

- Trouble with the Curve
- Rookie of the Year

- Bring it On (Cheerleading is a sport, ok? Classic teen movie btw)
I wasn’t really planning on making a list of over 30 movies, but the more movies I found, the more movies I wanted to add! I feel like I got a little bit of everything: sports action, sports comedy, sports teen drama, you name it! Some of these movies I haven’t seen in forever, but from what I remember they were really good. Some of these movies I grew up watching all the time, like The Rookie, Remember the Titans, Happy Gilmore, and of course The Sandlot. If you couldn’t already tell from my list, I grew up in a baseball watching family, whether that be watching the sport itself, or watching a movie about the sport! But I love almost all sports, and even though we have no sports right now, sports movies are the next best thing.
Like I said earlier, I didn’t even realize how much I missed sports until watching The Rookie recently. That’s by far one of my favorite baseball movies, and it made me nostalgic for baseball. We even watched Like Mike, and it’s funny how those movies can transport you back to being a little kid. Anyways, before I start rambling on all of my all time favorite movies from this list, I hope you found some new movies to check out if you are missing sports just as much as I am. Hope you have a great weekend!
