I love the fall. Even though we only get a couple of weeks of actually fall weather here in the south, I still consider fall to be one of my favorite seasons. I love the transition from the hot summer heat to the cool, crisp air. It’s like the start of a new year with it just feeling like a new beginning. I embrace the fall with a smile on my face, thinking of all the things I get to enjoy during this season. It may not feel like fall for as long as I want it to, but hey, I can make it feel like fall on the inside, right?
With the transition into fall comes the transition into new music. Instead of listening to upbeat summer songs that I have had on repeat, I gravitate towards more calm, chilled out music from some of my favorite artists like Mumford and Sons, Florence and the Machine, and The Oh Hellos to name a few. I’ll definitely be doing a music update here soon because there’s so many more artists! I’ve already been listening to my //FALL// playlist on Spotify for the past month, so you could say I’ve been ready for the fall time for a while now!
The fall time is definitely the season that I love to read in the most. I get to sit outside and not melt to death, cozied up in a blanket and enjoying the views and the air outside. It’s so calm and peaceful, I could stay out there for hours! I’ve currently been reading Robert Galbraith’s Troubled Blood from my reading list, and it’s been so hard to put that book down this past week.
Fall also brings with it some October baseball, which is definitely the most exciting part of the baseball season. If you come around to my house during the playoffs, you better believe we will be watching postseason baseball all month long, whether you like it or not! When we aren’t watching baseball, I will definitely be watching some Gilmore Girls because it’s not really the fall time unless you are watching it!
Not only do I love the fall for the music, the sports, and the shows, but this is by far my favorite season in regards to fashion as well. I get to pull out and wear all of my favorite sweaters, cardigans, and boots. It takes minimal effort to look put together, and you’re cozy at the same time. Although, fall in the south does mean that you get to wear your cardigan when it’s cool early in the morning, then rip it off in the afternoon because it gets so hot! I know I just did my frugal post, but the fall time is by far the toughest for me when it comes to shopping. The sweaters, the jackets, the jeans, the shoes…I just love it all and want to buy everything!
I don’t know if you could tell or not, but I really enjoy the fall time and all the things that it brings. I totally winged this post today, so I’m sorry if it’s random and all over the place! I knew I wanted to talk about the fall time, but I wasn’t sure how to bring it all together, so I just sat and wrote about everything that comes to mind when I think of this time of year. Last year, I did a fall essentials blog post, and that post definitely still rings true for this year. There’s so many more elements of the fall that I love, but I didn’t have the time to go on and on today! I love this season though, and I’m ready and in need of a fresh, crisp start. Thanks for stopping by today, hope you all have an amazing weekend!
