Happy Monday! For today’s post, I thought I would take you through a day in the life during this interesting time, so yesterday, Sunday 4/5, I tracked all that I did to share with you 🙂 . It’s not much, but hey, it’s a little something!
Morning
I started the morning waking up around 9 AM, which honestly is pretty good considering the amount of times I’ve slept in these past couple of days! I like to start the morning with a cup of coffee, and I love watching either YouTube or Netflix in bed. Once I finished my coffee, I got around to starting some laundry and watching some episodes of Parks and Recreation before my church’s virtual live stream. It’s pretty cool that even during this time my church has been offering a virtual service at the same time on Sunday’s. It’s weird just watching my Pastor in the living room, but it’s been nice!
Afternoon
Once the church service was over, it was lunch time and I went with my go to salad that consists of spinach, lunch meat, avocado, and sunflower seeds! After I finished lunch, I folded all the laundry that I had to let my food digest before I started my yoga practice for the day. I started a 30-day yoga journey with my brother with Yoga with Adriene on YouTube, and I was on day 4 and have really been enjoying it! The practices haven’t been that long so it’s easy to squeeze in, but I’m eager to see if I’ll become more flexible and toned by the end of the 30-days.
Because the yoga wasn’t that long or gruesome, I had to go outside and play some golf because it was such a beautiful day. Maybe it’s because we’ve been stuck at home, but every time it has been sunny out I have been eager to go outside and soak up all the sunshine that I can get, either through golfing or reading in my hammock. I definitely got a bad sunburn, but it was totally worth it! Haha.
Because it was so hot, I ended up going inside after about an hour and doing some journaling to cool down. I hadn’t done that in over a week and today seemed like the perfect day to do it. It felt really good to put words on paper, it’s always been one of my favorite things to do even though I don’t prioritize it nearly as much as I should.
Right before dinner, I was eager to go outside again and shoot around the basketball in the driveway. I can’t even remember the last time that I did that. But we ended up ordering a basketball and getting a new net, and just like that I was feeling like a little kid again with all the times that my brothers and I had played basketball in that driveway. It took a few tries, but I think I got my shot back!
Night
The night time is when the down time really begins. My Dad ended up making pancakes, and although these past few days we’ve watched movies from my movie watch list, tonight my Mom suggested watching the new Star Wars movie and I couldn’t object to that!!
I like to wrap up the day with some reading right before bed, and I’m almost done with my first of four books with The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers!
And that’s all that I did yesterday. I’ve been trying to stay as active and as busy as possible to make the time go by. I’m really grateful that I’m in this quarantine with my parents, not only so I can be their errand runner so they don’t have to go out, but also because they have a little bit of land, and we can do things that most people in quarantine can’t do, like golfing in the front yard. Although I hate I can’t go into town, it’s nice to know I can still set up my hammock and hang outside without it harming anyone. Well, that’s all from me I guess! Hope you have a great week!
